Comment/Particular Mix: The Herb Dip Mix is so versatile, I use it for so much! It is great for a dip to use w/ a vegetable platter or w/ the beer bread. It's great added to olive oil to dip with bread instead of butter. It's also great for seasoning everything from chicken to a macaroni salad and you get multiple uses from one mix!

 

Oh, wow, I use this in soooo many things. But really great for dipping Beer Bread

Herbed Goat Cheese
Simply purchase a plain log of goat cheese at the store and roll into 1 package of Herb Dip Mix, coating the entire outside. Serve with crackers or toasted baguette slices.

Herb Cream Cheese Spread
Mix 1/2 package of Herb Dip mix with 1 block of cream cheese and 3 Tbsp. of white wine. Mix in a processor until blended well. Serve with cracked black pepper crackers or Focaccia Bread.


Lemon Herb Dressing

Mix together in a cruet, 1/2 cup olive oil, 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar, 2 tbls of lemon juice and 2 tbls of Herb dip. Shake and serve.

Herbed Ricotta Bruschetta

1 1lb container part skim ricotta cheese
3 tbls herb dip mix
3 tbls fresh minced parsley, basil, or mint or combination of all

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl and chill until ready to serve. Grill thick pieces of country toast brushed with olive oil and rubbed with a cut garlic clove. Top bread with Ricotta mixture.

Herbed Veggies

For Mother's Day dinner we cut up all kinds of veggies (new potatoes, carrots, onion, green pepper, zucchini, and yellow squash) and tossed them with some olive oil and 3 tbs of the herb dip mix. We roasted the potatoes and carrots first for 20 min at 400 degrees and then added the rest of the veggies for another 25 min. They were in a roaster covered with foil. They were delicious!

Mediterranean Biscuits
1 pkg Scone Mix
3/4 cup butter
2 eggs beaten
1/3 cup white wine
1/4 cup diced olives ( black, kalamata, your favorite)
3 tbls. diced sun dried tomatoes
2 tbls Herb Dip Mix

Prepare as directed on package with butter and eggs, Substitute white wine for the milk. Fold in the olives, sun dried tomatoes and herb dip mix.
Roll out to 2 inches thick and use a biscuit cutter or drop by 1/4 cup fulls onto a greased cookie sheet. Brush the tops with olive oil. Bake at 375 for 15-20 minutes

Savory Cheesy- Herb Scones:
1 Pkg scone mix (prepared with eggs and butter) substitute milk w/ 1/3 cup white wine
1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
3 tbls Herb dip mix

In a large bowl, combine all ingredient in a large bowl. Split dough into 2 halves. Form 2 small rounds and bake as directed on package or until done. You'll get 16 small wedges to serve with dinner or a soup/salad lunch.

Zinfandel-Herb Dip
Mix 1 pkg cream cheese with 1/2 pkg of Herb Dip mix and 2 Tbsp of Zinfandel or Merlot wine.


Use the Herb Dip mix like a rub on steak, chicken, or pork chops.

Place any of the following mixes into a terra cotta pot or cute watering can.  Attach a note saying, “Mr. McGregor’s Garden” from the children’s book, Peter Cottontail. 

Carrot Raisin Cheesecake Spread, Cucumber Dip, Dill Dip, Herb Dip Mix, Spinach Dip, Tomato Basil Dip, Cabbage Soup, Black-eyed Pea Soup, Green Split Pea Soup, “Tastes Like More” Tomato Soup, Broccoli Cheese and Rice Casserole, Squash Casserole, Sweet Green Beans, or Sweet Pickled Cucumbers.

Herb and Oil Gift Set
This makes a great accompaniment to a medium size bottle of olive oil. Punch 2 holes in the top of the dip mix and use a piece of strong raffia or a pretty ribbon and tie around a bottle of olive oil. Makes a great gift or addition to a gift basket, or even a wedding or shower favor.
