Sweet Honey Apple Glaze

Ingredients
1 pkg. HOT SPICED CIDER/WINE
3 c. apple juice
1/4 c. honey

Directions
Place
all ingredients in a medium sauce pan. Stir on medium until reduced by 1/3 and it thickens. Use as a glaze for your grilled pork roasts or hams.  You can also drizzle over ice cream.

Spiced Cream- Mix together hot spiced cider with 1 cup of heavy cream in your mixer with some sugar. Use this as a creamy topping for Spiced Apple Cake or Spice Cake desserts.

Sprinkle a tsp of hot spiced apple cider over your oatmeal, cream of wheat or other hot breakfast cereal.

Hot Spiced Berry Cider- Instead of Apple Juice to make cider, use Cranberry, Apple-Cranberry, Pomegranate Cranberry,Blueberry-Cranberry or any other favorite Berry Juice.

 

Spiced Applesauce- Add a few tablespoons into your homemade apple sauce

 

Spiced Jams/Jellies- Make your own jams and preserves? Add a kick of spice to Peach

Preserves, Apricot Preserves, Pear Jam, etc. Even if you don’t make them from scratch, you can add it to jarred preserves. Melt the preserves with the Cider mix added and use as a glaze or a conserve to pour over ice cream or pound cake.

 

Add to your pancake or waffle batter for a different flavor

 

Add into your prepared pie fillings. Toss with your apples, peaches, plums or pears when making homemade pies and tarts.

 

Substitute for your sugar in Tea. Make a great Spiced Tea

 

Sprinkle onto your baked ham for a delicious glaze, dry or mixed into preserves mentioned above and melt in the microwave

 

Combine in a sauce pan with peach, apricot or apple preserves to make a glaze for chicken or pork. or........

Put the mix in a small sauce pan with a few tsp of water or apple juice and melt it down into a syrupy glaze. Pour over your ham the last 10 minutes of baking.

 

Spiced Cookies- Combine the hot spiced wine/ apple cider mix with TGC's Sugar Cookie mix to make an apple spiced cookie.

 

Spiced Cocktails - Looking to spice up those cold weather cocktails? Add some to your favorite hot-toddy recipe.
