Mixes- Did You Know? (Fun Fact!)

Did you know where the idea for our Spicy Saltine Crackers came from?  These spicy crackers are very popular here in Texas, and many call them Texas Firecrackers because they are pretty spicy!  We’ve made these for years in our family, but we all had different recipes.  We tweaked a few of our recipes and came up with this very addicting end result!  You can’t just stop at one cracker!

Customer Comments:

This is my best seller; people can't believe they are so easy to make.

Oh these were good!  I use the mini oyster Crackers, which are perfect for sampling!

Shirley Lee from Palestine, TX

I really do prefer the small oyster crackers when making spicy saltines. I find the mix gets evenly distributed throughout the crackers. These don't last very long when I make them, so I am glad I purchased the batch jar!

Have discovered that the mix easily covers (3) 10 oz packages of oyster crackers and still has plenty of flavor and mix in the bottom of the tub. Love that you get so much value out of this reasonably priced mix.

The spicy saltine cracker mix is awesome.

Melissa Bauman from Grimes, Iowa

I have tried making these before with a recipe off the internet and they were a flop; these are delicious.

My teen ate my Oyster Crackers I had set aside to make this mix, so I ended up using what I had...Ritz Crackers. They were delicious! You really can't mess this stuff up!

I usually mix the mix with pretzels, chez, bugles, oyster crackers, sometimes Cheerios and can really mix it with just about anything!

They are soooooo worth it in the batch! Keep this in mind for outdoors folks. One of my co-workers was going on a guys' hunting trip and wanted a large quantity of the spicy saltines. With the cayenne pepper, it has a unique flavor that really stimulates the taste buds and seems to bode well for folks who like the great outdoors!
