Sweet Cornbread Waffles
Prepare Sweet Cornbread batter as directed. Pour batter onto warm waffle griddle. Cook each set until it is golden brown or as your waffle iron instructs. Serve warm as a side bread with any of our great soups!!

Chili Pizza
1 pkg Sweet Cornbread and items to prepare it on back of pkg.
3 cups of prepared Chili
1 (8 oz) pkg of shredded Mexican style cheese

Prepare 1 pkg of Sweet Cornbread as directed on package. Pour into a greased 9 inch round cake pan. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes or until done in the center and golden brown.
Remove from oven and top with chili and cheese. Return to oven for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
To Serve: Cut into pizza wedges

Chili Cornbread

1 pkg Sweet Cornbread
1 small can drained diced green chilis
3/4 cup frozen or canned/drained corn
1 fresh jalapeno seeded and diced finely
1 fresh red bell pepper seeded and finely diced
3 tbls finely chopped white/yellow onion.

Directions:
Prepare cornbread as directed on package. Add in the additional ingredients. Pour into a greased round 8 or 9 inch cake pan. Bake as directed or until done in the center. Cut into wedges and serve.
Great with chili or BBQ!

Cowboy Cornbread

2 packages TGC cornbread mix -- prepared according to directions

2 lbs ground sausage (cooked) -- we used deer sausage -- fry in skillet, drain all grease

1 can corn - drained

1 can Ranch Style Beans

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup monterey jack cheese

 

Mix together corn, cheese and sausage in a large bowl by hand.  Add raw cornbread mixture and mix well.   Takes a while to get it all stirred up and mixed well.   Pour mixture into 9 x 13 greased baking pan.   Bake at 350 for one hour.
